✨Patient Appreciation Day Mastery: How to Plan, Promote, and Lead Your PAD for Maximum Referrals

Patient Appreciation Day is one of the most powerful ways to start your year with heart, energy, and referrals.

Many offices run their PAD in January (or as a Friends and Family Day), because it sets the tone for the year… thankful patients, full schedules, and a clear invitation for them to bring the people they love.

In this live Mastery Call, you’ll learn how to plan, promote, and lead a Patient Appreciation Day that fits your office, your schedule, and your goals. We will keep it simple, clear, and doable, even if this is your very first PAD.

We’ll kick off the call by reviewing pre submitted coaching questions,
then walk through the full PAD training, and wrap with live Q&A plus role play so you can practice the language in a safe space.

You’ll walk away with:

âś… What Patient Appreciation Day is (and why January is one of the best months to run it)
âś… PAD logistics, timing, flow, including how to schedule the day so your team stays calm & patients feel cared for
âś… Real examples of past PAD flyers, promos, and offers, and how to adapt them to your office
âś… Referral statements you can create quickly, so every PAD conversation feels natural and clear
âś… How to talk about PAD in person, on the phone, by text, or email, so patients actually invite friends and family
âś… Live role play around inviting patients, handling questions, and keeping the energy fun, heart driven, and focused on care

Because a great Patient Appreciation Day is not just a promotion.
It is a moment to thank your patients, grow your practice, and kick off the new year with intention.

✨ MIRANDA’S FEATURED IDEA #1 - Twelve Days of Testimonies

💡 How to Use In Office: Create a “12 Days of Testimonies” board & choose twelve patient stories that highlight different wins. These can be symptom changes, better sleep, easier movement, less stress, or emotional shifts. Share one per day so patients see real examples of healing during the season.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “It’s Day 1 of our Twelve Days of Testimonies. Today we’re sharing Mary’s story. Her progress showed up in small but powerful ways; better sleep, more patience with her kids, and more energy during the day. Healing shows up in layers & we always celebrate that.”
📸 What to Post: A photo of the patient holding their testimony if possible or a simple branded quote graphic labeled Day 1. Caption: “Twelve Days of Testimonies: real patients, real wins, real results.”

✨ MIRANDA’S FEATURED IDEA #2 - Reactivation Holiday Outreach

💡 How to Use In Office: Spend the month reaching out to patients who drifted off care over the last 6 to 12 months. Keep it warm, personal, & genuine; this is simply a caring holiday check-in. A short handwritten card, thoughtful text, or quick call shows them they’re remembered.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Hi Kelly, happy holidays. I was thinking of you today & noticed it has been a while. If your body has been feeling tight or stressed, we’d love to help you get back on track before the year ends.”
📸 What to Post: A team photo writing cards or a simple holiday graphic. Caption: “Holiday check-ins bring patients back home to their health.”

✨ MIRANDA’S FEATURED IDEA #3 - Charity Drive: Coat Drive or Toy Drive

đź’ˇ How to Use In Office: Choose a coat drive, toy drive, or local charity & make it your December giving project. Set up a drop-off area at the front desk with a simple sign. Encourage patients to bring one small item to help another family stay warm or feel supported during the holidays.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “All month we’re collecting coats and toys for families in our community. If you’d like to join us, feel free to drop something off at the front desk; every little bit helps someone feel cared for this season.”
📸 What to Post: Photo of your donation table or a picture of your team holding items being donated. Caption: “December Giving Drive: helping families in our community stay warm, supported, & cared for.”

📆 December (Full Month) - Seasonal Depression Awareness Month

💡 How to Use In Office: Create a small “Lighten the Season” board with easy posture, movement, & nervous system tips. Keep it calm & supportive so patients feel understood during the darker months.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Your nervous system affects mood, energy, & stress. When your spine moves well, your body feels safer; that makes a big difference this time of year.”
📸 What to Post: Winter-themed graphic with a simple message: “Seasonal Depression Awareness Month: your spine supports your mind.”

📆 December (Full Month) - National Cold & Flu Month

💡 How to Use In Office: Add a “Stronger Through the Season” area at the front desk with quick immune-support reminders. If appropriate, share how spinal alignment helps the body communicate & adapt.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Your nervous system controls your immune system. When your spine is aligned, your body communicates better; it responds better too.”
📸 What to Post: Photo of your team in scarves or a clean winter graphic. Caption: “Cold & Flu Month: clear spine, strong system.”

📆 December 1–7 - Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week

đź’ˇ How to Use In Office: Share one gut health fact each day & tie it back to the nervous system in simple language. Keep your board small & easy to read.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Your gut & your spine talk all day. When your spine is misaligned, your digestive system can feel it too; alignment helps everything work better together.”
📸 What to Post: Calm digestive-themed graphic. Caption: “Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week: your spine supports your gut.”

📆 December 4 - National Stress Awareness Day*

Stress Awareness Month = April

💡 How to Use In Office: Offer small “Stress Check Moments” at check-in where your C.A. guides patients to take a deep breath & relax their shoulders. Keep it simple.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Stress shows up in your spine before it shows up in your day; let’s help your body move through it.”
📸 What to Post: Simple breathing or calm graphic. Caption: “National Stress Awareness Day: your spine feels your stress first.”

📆 December 13 - National Cocoa Day

💡 How to Use In Office: Offer small cups of cocoa as a patient appreciation treat. Add a short sign that says “Your smile warms our day; enjoy a warm cup on us.”
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “We’re so glad you’re here today; enjoy a warm cup of cocoa from us to you.”
📸 What to Post: Photo of your team holding cocoa or a cocoa cup on the front desk. Caption: “National Cocoa Day: warm up & stay aligned.”

📆 December 15 - National Cupcake Day (Canadian Holiday)

đź’ˇ How to Use In Office: Bring in mini cupcakes or use cupcake stickers for kids. Keep it fun & lighthearted as a moment of community connection.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “We’re celebrating National Cupcake Day with our Canadian families today; enjoy a sweet moment while you’re here.”
📸 What to Post: Cupcake photo or a fun team picture. Caption: “National Cupcake Day: sweet moments support healthy routines.”

📆 December 24–25 - Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

💡 How to Use In Office: Set up a gratitude or joy wall where patients can write what they’re grateful for. Give your team two script options to respect different beliefs: “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays.”
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Your spine carries you through the holidays; let’s keep you aligned so you can enjoy this season with ease.”
📸 What to Post: Warm holiday photo of your team or front desk decorations. Caption: “Wishing you a joyful, aligned holiday season.”

📆 December 26 - Boxing Day (Canadian Holiday)

đź’ˇ How to Use In Office: Ask patients how their body felt during the holiday & encourage a gentle reset. This can be a great day for simple education about stress, posture, & alignment after busy family routines.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Yesterday’s fun can show up in your spine today; let’s get you moving well again.”
📸 What to Post: Clean winter photo. Caption: “Boxing Day: reset, realign, recharge.”

📆 December 26 - National Candy Cane Day

💡 How to Use In Office: Hand out mini candy canes as a simple appreciation treat. Add a little sign that says “A sweet treat while you stay aligned this season.”
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Thanks for being part of our office family; enjoy a small treat from us today.”
📸 What to Post: Candy cane photo or team holding candy canes. Caption: “National Candy Cane Day: sweet season, strong spine.”

📆 December 31 - New Year’s Eve

💡 How to Use In Office: Ask patients one simple question: “What do you want your body to feel like next year?” Use their answer to reinforce consistency & care as they head into January.
🗣️ What to Say In Office: “Let’s finish the year aligned so you start next year steady & supported.”
📸 What to Post: Clean winter or fireworks graphic. Caption: “New Year’s Eve: align today, lead tomorrow.”
